Welcome to [info]publicity! [info]publicity is a faux-celeb game at heart. But how many celebrities only know other celebrities? How often do you wish your kids at faux-celebrity comms could get their non-famous sister or spouse into the fun? [info]publicity is the place to do that. Any and all faux-celebrities will be considered for admission. But if you want to play someone who would fly under the tabloid radar, all you have to do is make sure the person you are bringing in has some kind of connection to one of the faux-celebs housed here. Agents, parents, siblings, significant others, accountants, whatever! We know the world is not all celebrities. Lets give our celebrities more of the world to play with.

And the rules:

01. It's the big one. Don't cross the OOC/IC line. Drama in-character is what makes the game. Drama out of character is just silly. If you have a problem with another writer, bring it to the mods. Don't make everyone elses' playing experience suck.

02. Character limit: for the time being, we won't limit how many characters you can play. Just don't hog all the fun faces. If we know you have multiple characters and you start slacking on them, we will reserve the right to deny admission to future characters until you can step up your activity.

03. Update limit: we all have lives, we know it. So once every four weeks. We will post warnings when you're getting close to four weeks. But if it passes four weeks, you will be removed. Adds will be every other day, removals will be on Mondays and Thursday. Warnings will go out on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

04. RP basics: Make sure your journal name and screen name pertain to your character. In other words, no AIM names like 2kool4skool and usernames like [info]luvr_gurl_xxx. Also, no excessive underscores please! Don't god mod anyone else's character. Pregnancies will last full-term, meaning all nine months! Quickie marriages happen, quick divorces do not. If you have a questionable storyline you'd like to try out, please double check with the mods first. We don't want to hold back your creativity, but we also do not want to offend anyone else. When posting large pictures or youtube videos, please use a cut! Cut-tags are your friend, especially for those of us that still have computers that are stuck in the stone age.

05. Faux-celeb realism: Actors rarely film more than about three movies a year. They usually film even less if they are also on a TV show. We know there's tons of roles that are fun and must plays, but only actors who don't even take time to eat or sleep are starring in eight movies a year. Try to keep it to three. For musicians, make a vocal claim. If that voice is already in a band/bands in real life, you are welcome to those claims as well. In addition, you can have one more lyrical claim. We want to get as many people playing here as we can, so we can't take all the great lyrical claims, as much as we might want to.

06. [info]transcripts is the random/lyrics comm. Feel free to use and abuse it. It needs more love than anything else. [info]outtakes is the OOC comm. [info]onshuffle is the storyline community and it has open membership. Reply to the posts! Storylines make everyone more active. [info]recordings is the credits journal. Make sure to check there while you are creating your character.

Please make sure your first post contains some kind of history on your character and your character's credits. The more in depth or creative you are, the better! If you'd like to create an IMDB post for your character, that's fine. Just be sure to include some kind of biography somewhere as well. We do ask for examples, but our primary focus will be on your first post that you've developed for this character. All comments are screened.
